Presiden MIC sombong tak bertempat

Parti sudah nak punah ranah tapi masih sombong dan berdegil serta tamak kuasa. Itu pandangan dan kesimpulan yang boleh dibuat rakyat Malaysia jika kita melihat perjalanan kemelut dalaman MIC sejak dua bulan kebelakangan ini.

Nampak sangat alasan bini sakit hanya auta semata-mata. Beliau memang tiada niat untuk berdepan Perdana Menteri dan seteru beliau Subramaniam. Mustahil tiada pembantu yang boleh bantu seorang Menteri dan Presiden Parti. Terserlah lah kebenaran yang didedahkan oleh mantan Bendahari Agung MIC dibawah tajuk Presiden takut bini punca kemelut MIC ?

PRESS STATEMENT BY
YB DATUK SERI G. PALANIVEL, PRESIDENT MIC

This afternoon, YB Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, the Secretary General of Barisan Nasional has made a few proposals to the media with regard to the issues between MIC and the Registrar of Societies (ROS). These proposals are indeed very disturbing, to say the least.

I could not attend the meeting called by the Prime Minister this morning as I had an emergency to attend as I had to rush my wife to the hospital. I had informed the Prime Minister of the same and that I have sent the Secretary General of MIC, Dato’ S Sothinathan, to represent me. Dato’ Sothinathan was not allowed to be in the meeting and only the Deputy President was met by the Prime Minister and others present. Dato’ Sothinathan was only informed of the proposals but more like decisions as announced by YB Tengku Adnan after their meeting with the Deputy President.

I, as the President of MIC, am not willing to let third parties (Barisan Nasional) to run our beloved Party. The Deputy President of MIC may be willing to allow third parties to run MIC and lose our self dignity and respect but I will not. We have our Party Constitution and relevant Bye-Laws to run the Party and conduct Party elections, if need be, and any other course of action as proposed would be illegal, null and void.

I also owe it to the members of MIC who are the grass-root supporters, Branch, Divisional Congresses, State Liaison Committee as well as National level Leaders of MIC not to allow this grave act of injustice to take place.

I had very clearly said in the Press Conference held on Saturday that the ROS has no powers under the law to act or to make decisions and giving directives as they have been doing with MIC recently. I have said enough about this in all my previous press statements and I do not wish to repeat them again. ROS officers have no business attending the illegal meeting held on last Friday. Now, it is announced that a so-called Barisan Nasional Secretariat conduct MIC Party elections. This is totally unacceptable.

Barisan Nasional has no jurisdiction whatsoever to take over the administration or conduct of the Party elections in direct contradiction to the provisions of the MIC Constitution as well as the Societies Act, 1966. Though MIC is a component party within Barisan Nasional, MIC is still a political Party in its own rights and governed by the Party Constitution. Barisan Nasional should respect the Constitution of MIC and not invade into the administration of MIC as proposed.

The directive to appoint the 2009 elected Central Working Committee (CWC) of MIC as the Interim CWC and taking away my express powers of appointment as embodied in the MIC Constitution is a grave injustice and clearly undermining the Constitution of a Registered Society under the Societies Act, 1966. Let it also not be forgotten that the 2013 MIC elections were conducted by the very same 2009 CWC which were challenged by the various parties and has brought to the current situation of the Party. Tan Sri Kumaran was in fact the Returning Officer of the Election Committee that conducted the 2013 elections. Going back to appoint the very same 2009 CWC makes a mockery of the entire situation.

As I had stated in my Press Conference on Saturday, ROS cannot in any way nullify my election as the President of MIC which was not held during the General Meeting but by the Branch Chairmen of MIC as provided for in the MIC Constitution. Most importantly, I was returned unopposed. In other words, there was no other candidate nominated for the post of President. Therefore, I am the duly elected President of MIC which cannot be questioned by ROS. My powers as enshrined in the MIC Constitution cannot be taken away by anyone including ROS.

I reiterate once again that ROS has no such powers to decide that the 2009 elected CWC members will form the Interim CWC of MIC for the purposes of the fresh elections. In fact, such decision is illegal, null and void.

Though I had given a deadline of Tuesday, 17 February 2015 for ROS to withdraw all its directives, the announcements made by YB Tengku Adnan today makes it unnecessary to wait until then. I have instructed the lawyers to file the necessary Court papers to challenge the decision and acts of ROS.

I am still shocked that the Deputy President can agree, in my absence, to let others run MIC. It is totally disgusting the extent that one can go to further one’s political agenda.

Najib Razak minta tempoh cari penyelesaian kemelut MIC

Sidang media untuk mengumumkan bahawa Perdana Menteri telah bersetujui untuk membantu mencari penyelesaian kepada kemelut MIC dalam satu tempoh 'genjatan senjata' atau moratorium supaya kemelut tidak bertambah kusut.

I and my Deputy Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam will stand-down.
We will have a moratorium.
I do not want the party crisis to escalate.
This will give us a period of non-crisis to resolve the issues that have come up.
We will meet and decide on the next course of action that will satisfy all quarters as soon as possible.
I agree to a moratorium to allow both sides to discuss with the Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as Chairman of BN to find the best way forward to resolve the crisis.

Macam-macam perkara 'gila' seperti mengupah gangster untuk mengambil alih kawalan ibupejabat MIC dan memecat Pengerusi MIC Wilayah Persekutuan melalui SMS telah dilakukan oleh Presiden MIC, G.Palanivel menurut Saravanan. Malah beliau dan juga Ketua Wanita MIC tidak dibenarkan memasuki Ibupejabat MIC atas arahan Presiden MIC.

Tapi mesej yang lebih besar yang ingin saya ketengahkan ialah mengenai perlantikan G.Palanivel sebagai Presiden semasa proses melupuskan kuasa Samy Vellu dahulu. Rujuk kepada min 3.12 Menurut Saravanan, G.Palanivel adalah pilihan Najib Razak dan bukan nya pilihan ahli MIC. Menurut beliau Samy Vellu telah bersetuju melepaskan jawatan beliau untuk membuka jalan kepada peralihan kuasa untuk dipangku oleh G.Palanivel. Sebelum pemilihan MIC tahun 2013 Najib juga telah meminta kepimpinan MIC untuk memberi masa sepenggal bagi G.Palanivel menjadi Presiden dan melepaskan jawatan tersebut 6 bulan sebelum tamat tempoh. Ini telah dipersetujui oleh mereka yang hadir di kediaman Najib Razak, iaitu M.Saravanan, Dr Subramaniam, S.K Devamany dan G.Palanivel sendiri. Sekarang ahli dan kepimpinan MIC meminta Najib masuk campur untuk menyelesaikan kemelut dalaman mereka.

Ancaman bunuh yang diterima melalui panggilan talipon oleh Saravanan sebelum sidang media bermula. Selama ini saya dengar cerita saja tapi kali ini menyaksikan bagaimana pemimpin MIC terpaksa melayan kerenah gangsterism yang telah menjadi sebahagian daripada budaya dalam MIC. Bila agak nya Sivaji The Boss nak menunjukkan muka di Kuala Lumpur ?

Presiden MIC sengaja mahu MIC dibubarkan ?

Ini satu lagi tuduhan serius dari bekas Bendahari Agung MIC, R.Ramanan. Setelah tamat tempoh 90 hari yang dibenarkan ROS, MIC masih belum mampu menyelesaikan isu pemilihan parti dan perlantikan CWC. Seterusnya mereka telah memohon untuk tempoh lanjutan selama 30 hari lagi menjadikan tempohan lanjutan yang dibenarkan selama 120 hari oleh ROS.

R.Ramanan mendakwa Palanivel sengaja mengeluarkan surat kepada ROS dengan tujuan menidakkan apa saja keputusan yang bakal dibuat ROS. Ini merupakan tindakkan yang mempersoal kewibawaan dan kuasa yang ada pada ROS yang bakal membawa padah kepada MIC. Kemungkinan besar MIC akan dibatalkan pendaftaran dan dibubarkan oleh ROS. Apakah ini yang dimahukan Palanivel ??

Dalam sidang media tersebut Ramanan turut memberi amaran kepada Palanivel untuk tidak melawan ROS kerana jika ROS masuk audit pejabat maka segala butiran perakaunan MIC akan terbongkar. Ramanan mengaku segalanya tidak seindah yang dilaporkan.
